Background:
Founded in 1847, the school occupies a Victorian building with two additional classrooms added in 2000. The school was refurbished in the same year. Further building work is planned and the roll is expected to grow to 140 pupils by 2004. Whitminster serves the village community as well as nearby suburbs of Gloucester. It offers a full range of National Curriulum subjects and sports and is a training establishment for LSW, PGCE and B.Ed.
