Heywood Community School is situated on the edge of the Forest of Dean in Gloustershire. The school has a range of high quality facilities on site. In partnership with the District Council and the Youth and Community Service it is able to extend the use of the majority of the site. Its aim is to provide an opportunity for everyone within the wider community to use and enjoy facilities, resources and equipment. Its partner primary schools mainly use the swimming pool and ICT facilities but also make use of its other sporting and specialist areas. It offers courses for parents and other adults in ICT and basic skills and the facilities are used by various groups such as senior citizens. Heywood Community School provides the highest quality learning experience for all its students and is the centre of educational excellence for Cinderford and its wider community.
