Background:
Rowanfield is a larger than average junior school on the northern outskirts of Cheltenham. It is set in beautiful grounds with extensive playing fields and two large playgrounds. There is a well-established nature garden which comprises of a pond, butterfly garden, swamp area, log pile and small meadow. The school has a wide range of extra-curricular activities including choir, netball, rugby, cricket, athletics, country-dance, nature club, information and communication technology and instrumental tuition. The national curriculum has core subjects including English, mathematics, science and information and communication technology and foundation subjects including design and technology, geography, history, art, music and physical education. The school aims to provide a secure, challenging and happy learning environment for all pupils.
