Background:
Founded in 1867, the school moved to its present location in 1979. Facilities are available for netball, football and tennis and the school runs clubs in these and other sports, such as swimming, hockey and athletics. Children also have the opportunity to participate in a school band, mathematics club and textiles club. The school has a performing tradition and there are annual dramatic and musical productions. Opportunities to learn a musical instrument include violin, clarinet, flute, guitar and keyboard. The school is proud of its 'strong links' with its community. Being a village school it seeks to foster a family atmosphere. Staff and Governors work hard to create a stimulating and secure environment for all children to enjoy learning.
