Background:

Built in 1975, the school is set in 'large grounds' in a 'rural and very beautiful' area of South Gloucestershire with 'rolling countryside, stone built houses and pretty villages.' The main school building was 'enhanced' in 1975 with three Elliot buildings, one of which was further extended to form a new classroom in 1995. The library, offices, hall, staffroom and resources are in the main building. Outside, 'over 850' saplings have been planted in the school's 'large, level, open' grounds which act as a 'major curriculum resource'. The gardening club have built a maze, and there is an 'interactive' sundial and a 'quiet area'. The latter is a playground extension with small fenced areas, picnic beach seating and seats incorporating floral displays, and is a 'haven of peace and tranquility'. Extra-curricular activities include recorder, violins, football, netball and rounders. The school won the 1999 football league with local village schools and the 1998 National Rounders Tournament. That same year, Trinity won an Investors in People award. Trips and visits related to topics covered in class are available to 'support our broad and balanced curriculum'. Charity work involves supporting two charities each year. In 1999, UNICEF and a national children's home were donated to, and in 1998, the school supported Disaster relief in central America and Bangladesh. There are 'international links' with two schools, one in Greece and one in the Czech Republic.
