Background:
St Peter's RC High School and Sixth Form Centre is a secondary school and sixth form for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is 11-18. The school has extensive grounds including new purpose-built music facilities, Astroturf and sports hall, rugby pitches and tennis courts. There is a purpose-built sixth form centre with its own library, IT and study facilities. The school offers sporting, musical and extra-curricular activities. St Peter's is a training school, with special commitments to initial teacher training. It has close links with the University of Gloucestershire and with the GITEP scheme, which is run by the secondary heads of Gloucestershire schools. The school aims to provide a high quality education within the context of a Christian environment.
