Background:
This is a 'small rural' village school, whose children come mainly from farming backgrounds. The school aims to 'provide a Christian ethos that they can identify with an simulate throughout their lives'. The bishop's visitor makes 'regular visits' and the staff 'value and encourage' the support and guidance from the Gloucester Diocese. The children attend services, visit and perform in the Gloucester/Bristol cathedrals and local churches, and some children sing in the school choir. Physical education is provided for using the indoor apparatus, including climbing frame, vault and bench. Ball skills were praised in the last Ofsted inspection. A 'variety' of charities are supported, ranging from Farm Aid in Africa to School Support in India.
