Highcroft Junior School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is seven to 11. The school's six classrooms provide a base for the four age groups. A wide range of activities, which enrich the curriculum are organised voluntarily by staff during the lunch times and after school. A good range of educational visits and residential camps enrich and support the curriculum. The school provides a good variety of extra-curricular activities, including sports such as football, netball, football, short tennis, badminton, volleyball and badminton. The lunchtime gardening, recorder, and information and communication technology clubs are popular and well supported. The after-school dance club provides good opportunities for all interested pupils.
