A 'friendly school with a welcoming atmosphere', Lydbrook Primary is accommodated in a 'bright and cheerful' building which is 'well maintained and resourced'. Recent additions include a new field, ICT suite and classroom. The PIPS nursery is offered and 'enables pupils to make an excellent start to their school days'. Academic achievements are 'high' and pupils choose from a wide range of extra-curricular activities. There is an active Lydbrook School Association and good links with the community including the local primary schools and secondary school. The school has recently developed a community link with local senior citizens.
