Background:

John Cabot City Technology College is a city technology college for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is 11 to 19. John Cabot CTC is a world-class centre of excellence and is working globally. The college is an interactive community that develops happy fulfilled individuals. Learning takes place in an atmosphere of excitement and diversity and is enhanced by imaginative uses of technology. The college, with its 26 acres of grounds, opened its doors for the first time in September 1993 and enrolled 150 Bristol students aged eleven. The design capacity of this purpose-built secondary school is circa 1,000 to cater for students aged 11 to 18 years. John Cabot CTC has wide-ranging and comprehensive facilities including: Astroturf pitch, CAD studio, CAM centre, CISCO ICT centre, conference room with video link, Digital recording facilities, drama stage, fitness centre, languages ICT centre, large sports hall, library with full ICT facilities. The college has a mission to promote a culture, which is scientific and technological, vocational and international.
