Background:
The school is situated in the centre of the village of Gretton, a thriving community with its own parish church, council, village hall, playing fields, art club, history society, amateur dramatics group, Women's Institute, nursery playgroup and two public houses. The school enjoys close links with the wider community. It was originally housed in the village hall but with the help and generosity of Emma Dent of Sudeley Castle, who gave land and a sum of money. The present building was erected in 1892. The school now has three classes: two in the main school building and one in a separate building to the rear. The school offers various extra-curricular activities, which are: Cross country races, Swimming galas, Football and netball tournaments, District Athletics Competitions, rounders tournaments, Football and netball matches.
